Disclaimer: This "post" doesn't have anything to do with wine or the rest of the blog. This is a sample of other stuff that I've written. Read or don't. If you enjoyed yourself or you'd like to continue reading anything let me know. If you didn't enjoy yourself, I'd still love your thoughts about what could be better.
The Bering tunnel connects North America and Asia for the first time since the Ice Age. It bores through granite, shale, and limestone. In a single year it transports 21 million people, 3,000 freight cars, and $9.4 billion of commerce. The public crowns it the eighth wonder of the world.
And one day, a train full of passengers goes in and comes out the other side, without a soul left aboard.
A physicist with ties to organized crime, takes responsibility. He claims he teleported them and demands millions in ransom for their safe return.
His claims make their way to Alaskan Police Officer Paige Wells. She may be a failed scientist, but even she knows this physicist has seen one too many episodes of Star Trek. But that doesn't explain where her sister is. Paige's sister is among the missing and if Paige ever wants to see her again, Paige must solve the case.
TUNNEL TO NOWHERE (86,111 words) is a mystery about science. It has the tone and writing style of Finlay Donavan is Killing It by Elle Cosimano. It's a locked-room howdunit with a plot similar to The Devil and the Dark Water by Stuart Turton.
